Where am I?

I liked Katie's description so much that I copied it for all of you to read:

I am near Santa Cruz, Bolivia which is in the very center of the country (think of it as an equilateral triangle whose apex points to 11:00). Bolivia is bordered by Brazil to the north and east, while Paraguay and Argentina make up the southern border. Chile forms the southwest and Peru the northwest border. (here's a map). For an American comparison, Bolivia is about the size of Alaska, according to the Lonely Planet. The clinic, which is called the Centro Medico Humberto Para, is about 1.5 hours away from Santa Cruz.

What am I doing in Bolivia?

I will be volunteering at the Centro Medico Humberto Para until late June. A friend of mine at Northwestern's mom started the clinica and has connections with a wonderful family with whom I will be staying. There are a variety of things that I could be doing from educating and getting histories of the patients, to keeping a webpage updated and trying to find grant funding for the expansion of the clinica. Alongside that there will certainly be some time where I will take off and try to hike some Incan roads and visit some National Parks, after I can speak Spanish a little better. No, I don't speak Spanish yet, so don't come looking for adventure stories anytime soon.

How can you contact me?

The best way to get in touch with me is by email.
