Saturday, May 1st is a very, very special day in the Singley family. One Megan Elizabeth Singley, my sister of now 21 years, is celebrating a birthday! To honor this day, Megan made a few simple requests of her brother earlier this week, and I have been happy to oblige on her special day. First, she asked for a skywritten birthday greeting. No problem. I even had the work completed over a scenic mountain vista to be sure that the picture was perfect.
Next, she said she would like people of all races and backgrounds to come together, candles in hands, to spell out her name USA-sized. Done. I would personally like to thank the people of the Great Plains states for really pulling together on this one. The next item was a little trickier due to certain shipping restrictions, but I think I was able to make it happen. Megan, if you walk outside your apartment on Saturday morning, you will find the pony you requested. I call him Sha-neigh-neigh.
The last item was the simplest of them all: a special singley.org tribute to the little sister. Megan, I do not say often enough how lucky I am to have a sister I feel so close to and who I know I can always count on to make me laugh. You are amazingly intelligent, caring, generous and have a positive vibe about you that makes everyone you meet incredibly happy they got to know you. I thank you for all of those qualities, and I thank you for just being the best lil' sista a bro could ask for. Happy 21st birthday, Megan!
Go Megan Singley! Happy B-Day.

I think I can see myself in that USA picture...I'm up in the top left portion of the "M" and I have argyle socks on. I am also holding a sign that says "Happy Birthday Megan!!"

I took a brief hiatus from singley.org out of pure laziness, and what a wonderful message to welcome me back. Eric, you just rock. Plain and simple. What a great warm fuzzy. I miss you, man. And Megan... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
