I've been at my new job for nearly a month now, but I've been too busy to settle into my new workspace. My water bottle is here, a toothbrush, some candy in a drawer, but mostly the space is filled with remnants of the cubical's preview occupant. Soon I'll finish moving in, but not until I mention the things I found behind the computer, inside cabinets and underneath the desk. You can really learn a lot about a person from what they leave behind. Here what I've been able to piece together so far:
1. Most likely a male, or at least I've never seen a female with handwriting as lousy as I've found on his half-filled legal pad.
2. Lives in Elmhurst, Illinois, or at least prefers the dentists there (found a card with an appointment reminder).
3. He's over 6' 4'' - I practically hit my chin on the desk when I went to sit down in his low-to-the-ground office chair.
4. He's watching his sugar intake. I found lots of packets of Equal, but none of regular sugar (maybe he got scolded by the dentist in Elmhurst at 2:00 PM on June 12th).
5. His favorite color is blue (pens, highlighters, mouse pad, push pins).
6. His name is Bruno Albertgetti (just guessing here).
7. He either really enjoys or really dislikes ranch dressing. There were four packets of it in the desk drawer, implying that he always likes to have some ready to go in case he gets a salad for lunch. Or, he buys salads and the dressing comes with them, which he chooses not to eat but doesn't want to waste, either.
Imagine what I could have done if his trash hadn't been emptied.
