I don't think sitcoms get any more entertaining than when a young Cosby Show cast performed Ray Charles' "Night Time is the Right Time" for their grandparent's anniversary. Was TV comedy better ten years ago, or is that nostalgia talking?

Comments:

Hate to break it to you, Eric, but that was closer to 20 years ago. Though they were better 10 years ago, too, with Seinfeld hitting its prime--though we must remember those were also the days of Urkel. But, sitcoms did at least have more charm then. Now it's all sex jokes, which can be funny, but it's kind of a cheap laugh--and will not be as funny the 20th time we watch it.

I caught that Cosby Show episode a few months ago, and it is absolutely hilarious. As a fervent TV watcher, I do feel compelled to defend my current favorite sitcom and recommend Scrubs to all of you. It's quirky, creative, and a lot closer to real life in the hospital than you might think. Unfortunately NBC has opted to show Friends reruns rather than Scrubs, so it'll be tough to find for a while. :(

Did anyone watch a certain cartoon hosted by Bill Cosby with an opening that went ... 'Hey, hey, hey, it's Fat Albert.'?
I lived and breathed for that show for a blissful period of time.
