I read this article recently about Google's aggregate search data collection. They track what words people are searching for worldwide and through this data can see emerging patterns and tap into a strange, collective, international trend map. They probably have plans to market this information in the future, so the raw search logs aren't available to the public. However, you can view the Google Zeitgest page which lists the top ten gaining and declining queries each week, then each month and year.

singley.org and Eric M. Singley have had an on-again, off-again relationship since 2003. This time, though, they are in it for the long haul. Here you'll find a simple blog about a complex man as well as links to his most active projects, all presented using a somewhat-pretentious art gallery metaphor. While Eric doesn't consider his work art per se, he does hope that you'll wander around singley.org a bit and enjoy the time you spend there. If there's anything specific you'd like to know about the proprietor of this space, please don't hesitate to .
In short, Mr. Singley (you can call him Eric) has been or is some combination of the following: Minnesotan, Chicagoan, a web developer, a DJ, oddly skilled with a yo-yo, weeMighty, a large-event planner, perfectionistic, a software project manager, a writer, well-groomed, an entrepreneur, very fond of tea, a teacher, hungry for new music, not this guy, a user experience manager, and the designer, coder, writer and docent here at singley.org.
